Cobra Destroyers for BFG

My hobby output over the last 6 months has been pretty shabby to be honest. My entry to the Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge wasn’t very inspiring although I did manage to post two submissions. My first was pretty good in that it consisted of a wide variety of bits and bobs that I’d been working on and I posted that on this blog a while ago. However the below was my 2nd (and last) submission for this years challenge - a few GW Battlefleet Gothic ships.

My exploration of BFG started about 10 years ago when I lived in the UK and attended a weekly club (the Pennine Raiders!!!), where we ran a mini campaign. BFG had always been on my to do list so I dived in feet first and bought a full Imperial Navy fleet. However it’s taken me the last 10 years to actually paint them and I’m rather ashamed to admit that most of them have never been on active deployment defending the Imperium from marauding Orks, terrible Tyranids or mind blowingly moronic GW management (who decide to abolish specialist games and then try and resurrect it in the vain hope that they can con a load of new gamers out of their hard earned whilst stopping the older die hards from promoting and improving the game in a not for profit manner to a the aforementioned load of new gamers!).

Anyway….
These boys are to support my existing Imperial Navy squadron and will provide essential flank protection against those pesky Chaos raiders, which some of you may remember we're one of my submissions from last year's analogue hobbies challenge.
I've included a picture of one of my previously completed battlecruisers for reference. Weirdly I don't even play BFG anymore but I do enjoy the minis and fluff that goes with it. Hopefully GW doesn't destroy it in their never-ending quest for profit over content!
Next up will be my Firestorm Frigates and Dauntless Light Cruisers
